The first week of the Fall Semester has been a busy one! The newly promoted second year students just returned from a short break to resume their studies and research projects, and the first year students endured a whirlwind of orientation, introduction to anatomy, and meeting their new BVIS family!
As a traditional part of beginning a BVIS graduate career, the first years paid a visit to Vitruvian Fine Art Studio (http://vitruvianstudio.com). They spent the day getting to know each other and making écorché sculptures as a fun and creative start to their human anatomy studies this semester.
Orientation was followed up with a Sunday night barbeque for first and second years to socialize before the first day of school. This year is also the start of a SAMA mentor pairing program, and the barbeque was an opportunity for everyone to meet and first years to submit requests for second-year mentors.
We hope everyone had a great first week and you’re all excited about the new school year!
Thanks to Molly Huttner and Michelle Lamont for the photos.
